How to get involved
Not just a school!
We are more than just a school that offers Saturday morning German language classes. We are a German community in the North Bay that is networked with other German organizations to offer our students German cultural and language experiences outside the classroom setting.
Your chance to be a part of the school.
As a non-profit school, the German Language School of Marin depends on parents, students, and friends of our school to volunteer their time and talents to continue building our school and community programs. The school is administered by a staff of dedicated volunteers and members who are committed to our mission of bringing high-quality education and cultural opportunities to Marin, Sonoma, and Napa Counties.
Volunteer opportunities for current school members.
As a school member (student or parent of our school), we ask that everyone contributes a small amount of time (2-3 hours). We have various volunteer opportunities currently available. Sign up on our Volunteer page (coming very soon!) to choose how and when you would like to contribute.
How to partner with us.
Would you be interested in supporting our organization and its mission? Here are a few ways that you can partner with us:
- Become a friend of the German Language School of Marin!
Support our fundraisers and events by telling your family, friends, colleagues and social network about them—ask them to sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get the inside scoop on German happenings in the North Bay and beyond.
- Join our administration team!
Almost every school year we face the need of replacing personnel who have fulfilled a term of volunteer contribution in an important staff role. If you or your child is already a student, please ask our faculty or board members about opportunities to volunteer for a school year. Adult students and school partners can also join our team.
- Assist with a school or community event!
We are always looking for willing participants to help with the many aspects of planning, organizing and helping out at our school and public events, as well as planned social gatherings. Contact us for more information.
